Frequently asked questions

Is Fingmint free to play?

Yes. There's no cost to play, no ads gating gameplay, and no download — it runs in your browser.

Do I need a crypto wallet to play?

No. You play with a 12-word secret phrase, which works like a wallet seed phrase but isn't tied to any blockchain. It's enough to earn and track points today — connecting a wallet is only needed later, to claim FING with those points.

What is FING?

FING is Fingmint's native token. Every point you earn — in Classic Play or the Daily Flip — is recorded to your account as points, tracked in one balance no matter which mode you played. Points aren't FING itself: they become claimable for FING once claiming opens; see the Terms and the roadmap for details.

What is the secret phrase, and is it safe?

It's a 12-word, randomly generated phrase that identifies your account instead of an email and password — the same way a wallet seed phrase works. We never store the phrase itself — only a one-way hash of it. If you lose it, we can't recover it for you, so save it somewhere safe when you first get it.

Is the outcome actually random?

Yes. The winning card position is chosen independently each round using the server's cryptographically secure random generator — not client-side, so it can't be inspected or predicted in advance.

What's the difference between Classic Play and the Daily Flip?

Classic Play is unlimited casual rounds. The Daily Flip is one shared round per day — everyone gets the same six cards — with one attempt, and it's what counts toward the leaderboard and your streak. Both feed the same points balance — every point counts, regardless of which mode you earned it in.

Can I play on more than one device?

Yes — log in with the same secret phrase on any device and your streak, scores, points, and referrals come with you.

Do points or leaderboard rank have any real-world value?

Points earned through gameplay will be claimable for FING, Fingmint's native token, once claiming opens — see the Terms for the full policy. Leaderboard rank itself is bragging rights; it isn't purchased or wagered for.

What data do you collect?

Your display name, an optional email, an avatar, your gameplay results, and referral relationships. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
